# Meet Jo Jo

If you visit [PoolProFlorida.com](https://poolproflorida.com), you may notice someone new hanging around.

Her name is [**Jo Jo**](https://poolproflorida.com/jojo/), and she is Pool Pro Florida’s virtual assistant.

But calling Jo Jo a chatbot doesn’t really explain what we’re building.

She can answer questions, explain our pool service options, help determine what a customer needs, check appointment availability, capture a lead, and even help schedule a consultation.

And this is just the beginning.

## More Than a Chatbot

Most website chatbots are basically interactive FAQ pages.

You ask a question. They search through some information. Then they give you an answer.

Jo Jo can do that too, but the important difference is that she can also connect to the systems Pool Pro Florida actually uses to operate the business.

For example, a homeowner can ask:

* “Do you service my area?”

* “How much is weekly pool service?”

* “Do you take care of saltwater pools?”

* “Can someone come look at my pool?”

* “What appointments do you have available this week?”

* “Can you schedule me for Tuesday morning?”

Instead of simply telling the customer to fill out a form or call us, Jo Jo can help move that conversation forward.

That makes her less like a traditional chatbot and more like a **virtual customer service representative**.

## How Jo Jo Works

There are really a few different pieces working together.

The first is the AI conversation itself. That allows Jo Jo to understand normal questions instead of forcing customers through menus, dropdowns, or rigid forms.

She also knows information about Pool Pro Florida, including our services, service areas, hours, pricing guidelines, policies, and how we normally handle customer requests.

Then comes the part that makes things much more interesting:

**MCP.**

## What Is MCP?

MCP stands for **Model Context Protocol**.

The name sounds technical, but the idea is pretty simple.

MCP gives an AI assistant a structured way to communicate with other software and business systems.

Think of it like giving Jo Jo a toolbox.

Without MCP, an AI assistant may be able to *tell* you that Pool Pro Florida offers consultations.

With MCP, Jo Jo can be given a tool that lets her actually **check the consultation schedule**.

Another tool can allow her to **create a new lead**.

Another can allow her to **book an available appointment**.

The AI handles the conversation.

MCP provides the bridge between that conversation and the actual business.

## A Real Example

Imagine a homeowner visits PoolProFlorida.com at night and types:

> “My pool keeps turning green. Do you guys service Port St. Lucie?”

Jo Jo can explain that we service Port St. Lucie and surrounding St. Lucie County and ask a few relevant questions.

The customer may then say:

> “Can somebody come look at it Tuesday?”

Instead of replying with “Please call us during business hours,” Jo Jo can check actual appointment availability.

If Tuesday morning is available, she can offer those times.

If the customer wants one, Jo Jo can collect the information required for the appointment and book it.

Behind that simple conversation, the AI and Pool Pro Florida’s business systems are communicating through MCP.

The customer never has to know how any of it works.

They just get help.

## Why We Built It This Way

People don’t always want to dig through a website.

And they definitely don’t always want to fill out another form.

Sometimes somebody simply wants to ask:

**“Can you take care of my pool?”**

A conversational interface gives them a much easier way to get an answer.

It also lets us keep the website itself clean.

We can still have traditional service pages, pricing information, contact forms, and online booking. Jo Jo doesn’t replace those things.

She gives customers another way to interact with them.

Instead of forcing people to learn how our website is organized, we’re letting them simply tell us what they need.

## Better for Customers

For Pool Pro Florida customers, the biggest benefit is convenience.

Jo Jo can be available when Jason is in the field vacuuming pools, driving between stops, or otherwise unable to answer the phone.

She can help someone understand the difference between service options, determine whether we cover their neighborhood, explain what is included with weekly service, and help start the scheduling process.

That means fewer dead ends.

A customer shouldn't have to know which page to visit, which button to click, or which form to complete.

They can just ask.

## Better for a Small Business

There is another side to this.

Pool Pro Florida is a local service company.

We aren't trying to build a giant call center.

Technology like this lets a smaller company provide a level of availability that traditionally required more staff.

Jo Jo can handle many of the repetitive questions that come in every day while still passing the actual work into the systems we use.

That gives us more time to concentrate on what ultimately matters:

**taking care of pools and taking care of customers.**

## AI That Can Actually Do Something

This is the part of AI that interests us the most.

Answering questions is useful.

But an assistant becomes much more valuable when it can safely perform specific actions.

Check availability.

Create a lead.

Schedule an appointment.

Retrieve the right business information.

Eventually, systems like this can connect more of the pieces involved in running a service company while still keeping a human involved where a human belongs.

That is a very different idea from adding a little chat bubble to a website.

## And More+

That’s why we added the **“and more+”** when describing Jo Jo.

She may appear to be a virtual assistant on PoolProFlorida.com today, but underneath that interface we're experimenting with something much bigger.

We’re exploring what happens when a local service business is designed so people, AI assistants, and business software can communicate with each other naturally.

The website is still there.

The phone is still there.

Jason is definitely still there.

But now there is another front door.

Her name is **Jo Jo**.
